Our School Council represents the views of all our pupils. It gives children the opportunity to make their voices heard and feel part of the whole school community.
The School Council is elected at the start of the new academic year and consists of two pupils from each class. Children have the opportunity to put themselves forward for a class vote to become a member of the Council. The Council meet regularly to discuss many areas of the children’s school day, for example; ideas for play, rewards, behaviour, school meal times, they also help with the staff interview process and helping to make decisions on how some school funding is spent. In addition to meeting with each other, the Council meet with the School’s Senior Leadership Team, frequently to discuss items from the School Council Meetings.
The Council's from all three Discovery Federation Schools also have the opportunity to meet annually and discuss items of common interest.
