Welcome to the final half term of Year Five for Edinburgh class! This half term's topic is 'The Tudors' and we have lots to learn. We started off by creating a timeline of our own lives this week, and then timelining the events of the Tudor period. Next week we will be creating a case profile of Henry VIII and the following week we will look at the fate of his six wives (spoiler alert - it wasn't good...and that's putting it politely!). We will be doing three weeks' worth of Fractions, Decimals and Percentages in Maths, as well as taking a good look at place value and the number system. We have linked our English to our History topic so are debating: 'Anne Boleyn: Saint or Sinner?' We will let you know our general consensus on this once we have reached one! PE is hopefully lots of outdoor sessions (if the weather sorts itself out!) - with a focus on Tennis and Athletics. We also have our multi-sports day at Winton to look forward to on 21st June, as well as our very own Sports Day (and Summer Fair!) on 6th July. So it'll certainly be a jam-packed half term with lots to look forward to. I'm certainly not ready for them to leave me just yet! Thanks for reading and your continued support as always.
