We are delighted to have elected our school council for the academic year 2018-2019. Our school council is a vital part of school life and provides all children with an opportunity to share their ideas about improving and developing the school. School council elections took part earlier in the term. Pupils had to write a manifesto to share with their class, thinking carefully about what they would do if elected. After all the manifestos were shared, a vote was undertaken and two pupils from each class were elected.
The school council meet Mrs Rogers every Monday afternoon and discuss a variety of issues such as, play equipment, rewards, behaviour and meal times. There is a suggestions box in each classroom where pupils are able to share their ideas.
Our current focus is on ‘being healthy’. The children are going to be investigating how healthy we are in school and what we can do to make this even better. We will keep you updated!
